Houston Texans star DeAndre Hopkins is expected to play through a toe injury Sunday against the Jaguars, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
The receiver has been listed as questionable and missed practice on Friday, per Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle. However, the issue shouldn't prevent him from being in the starting lineup, as he has been for every game so far this season.
Hopkins hasn't missed a single start in his five-year NFL career, appearing in 77 regular-season games and three playoff games.
His durability is only a bonus for a player who has established himself as one of the best in the league at his position.
The 25-year-old leads the NFL with 11 touchdowns this season and is second in the league with 88 catches and 1,233 receiving yards. Even if he doesn't play another snap, he has a good chance to earn his second Pro Bowl appearance in the last three years.
Unfortunately, he could be in for a rough time Sunday even if he plays as expected.
While both the Texans and fantasy football owners will be excited about seeing him in the lineup, he will likely be catching passes from third-string quarterback T.J. Yates after Tom Savage suffered a concussion last week.
To make matters worse, the Jaguars come in with the No. 1 pass defense in the NFL at 174 yards allowed per game. Opposing quarterbacks are managing just a 66.4 rating against this unit.
Hopkins will need to be at his best to buck this trend on Sunday.
