Can Buccaneers Take Advantage of Low-Scoring, But Desperate Dolphins in Week 11 Matchup?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will be without starting quarterback Jameis Winston when they take on the Miami Dolphins in Week 11, but they may not need their franchise signal-caller seeing as how Miami is playing lately. If you want to know if the desperate Dolphins can either get the outright win or cover the chalk, let’s find out right now!
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Vs Miami Dolphins
Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-6) at Miami Dolphins (4-4)
When: November 19, 2017, 1:00 PM ET
Where: Hard Rock Stadium
TV: FOX
Tampa Bay has been a huge disappointment this season after coming into the 2017 campaign with legitimate playoff hopes, but they did manage to snap a five-game skid by getting past the New York Jets last weekend as backup quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick tossed one TD pass and the Bucs won the turnover battle 2-1. Tampa Bay’s defense also sacked New York’s Josh McCown a whopping six times and held the Jets to just 56 rushing yards in the uneventful win.
Miami got smacked around like a bunch of Pop Warner toddlers in their pitiful 45-21 Monday night loss to Carolina. The Dolphins got two TD passes from Jay Cutler, but one costly pick while losing the time of possession battle by almost 10 minutes. Miami’s defense was almost non-existent as they let Cam Newton completely dominate by tossing four TD passes and rush for 95 yards in the loss.
Right now, it probably doesn’t matter who’s playing quarterback for any team opposing Miami, because the Dolphins can’t score the damned ball! Miami ranks dead last in scoring (15.2 ppg) and that says a whole lot to me, seeing as how winless Cleveland is completely incompetent and San Francisco not much better, yet both teams are averaging more points per game than the Fins!
53 percent of public bettors like Tampa Bay in this one and I believe that’s the easy pick, even with the Bucs on the road. The Fins have been held to 16 points or less in half of their eight games this season and Tampa Bay is an unblemished 5-0 ATS in their last five meetings against the Dolphins, who, by the way, are 0-3-1 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record. In addition to all of this, I’m going with Ryan Fitzpatrick all day over cry-baby Jay Cutler.
