Carolina Panthers at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
When: Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida
NFL Odds: Tampa Bay -2.5

Analysis: Jameis Winston and the Buccaneers were on the wrong end of a humbling 30-27 loss against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday and I believe they’re in for another heartbreaking loss in Week 8 against the desperate Carolina Panthers. I know Cam Newton and company have dropped two straight and looked really bad in their 17-3 Week 7 loss to Chicago this past weekend, but the Panthers still have a very good defense and a ton of desperation. Like the Panthers, Tampa Bay is allowing more points per game than they average not to mention they’ve gone 4-9 ATS in their last 13 home games. The Panthers have won 10 of their last 14 meetings against the Buccaneers while going 6-2 ATS in the last eight meetings against their NFC South division rivals. I smell an upset brewing here.

Week 8 Upset Pick: Carolina +2.5

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins
When: Sunday, October 29, 2017 at 4:25 PM ET
Where: FedEx Field, Landover, Maryland
NFL Odds: Dallas -1

Analysis: Dallas throttled San Francisco 40-10 this past weekend, but Washington has won three of four heading into their Monday night matchup against Philadelphia. Dallas still has a pass defense that is akin to Swiss cheese and I believe Kirk Cousins and the Skins are going to hold down the fort at home in this Week 8 NFC East divisional showdown against the Cowboys. Dallas is 4-9 ATS in its last 13 games and just 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games against Washington. The Skins have won six of their last nine at home and are my pick to get the ‘upset’ win in the nation’s capital as slight home underdogs.

Week 8 Upset Pick: Washington +1

Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs
When: Monday, October 30, 2017 at 8:30 PM ET
Where: Arrowhead Stadium, Kansas City, Missouri
NFL Odds: Kansas City -7

Analysis: The Denver Broncos aren’t looking anything like the team that won three of its first four games in emphatic fashion, but Kansas City is struggling all of a sudden as well. With both of these AFC West division rivals dropping two straight games, I’m thinking this Week 8 matchup has the look of a classic field goal finish.

Kansas City may have won 15 of its last 20 games outright, but the Chiefs are also just 3-7 against Denver over their last 10 meetings and 2-6 ATS in their last eight home dates against the Broncos. While I don’t see Trevor Siemian out-dueling Kansas City’s Alex Smith to get the outright road win, I am going to urge you to back Von Miller and company to help the Broncos get the ATS upset as touchdown road dogs.
