Analysis: Right now, it doesn’t matter where the Vikings play Browns, whether it’s stateside or in jolly old England. Cleveland is a complete mess as they showed in their pitiful 12-9 loss to Tennessee this past weekend that dropped them to 0-7 on the season. Minnesota has won three straight and kept it simple by overpowering Baltimore 24-16 with its rushing attack on Sunday. The Browns are going to find scoring against Minnesota’s defense extremely difficult which is why the Bikes are the easy pick to cash in as a 7.5-point favorite in London. The Vikings are a robust 10-3 ATS in their last 13 games against a team with a losing record and will win this Week 8 matchup by double digits.

Atlanta Falcons (3-3) at New York Jets (3-4)

Analysis: The Atlanta Falcons are faltering in a big way and the New York Jets have been competitive all season under head coach Todd Bowles, but I’m thinking a healthy dose of desperation right now will spur Matt Ryan and the defending NFC champions to get their act together for at least a week after dropping their last three games including their 23-7 loss to New England on Sunday. The Jets have lost two straight and keep shooting themselves in the foot at the worst time possible. Atlanta is 9-3 ATS in their last dozen road games and again, I believe sheer desperation will lead them to the SU win and narrow cover as manageable 4.5-point road favorites.

Analysis: Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers are looking like a legitimate Super Bowl contender again after getting smacked around in their shocking 30-9 home loss against Jacksonville and have won two straight over the Chiefs and Bengals. Matthew Stafford and the Lions have lost two straight and looked quite defenseless in their 52-38 road loss to new Orleans two weeks ago.

Despite being well-rested following a Week 7 bye, the Lions look like they’re in trouble at home against a Steelers team that hasn’t given up more than 14 points the last two weeks and hung an impressive 29 points on Cincinnati’s solid defense on Sunday. Pittsburgh has won eight of their last 10 road games outright while going 4-2 ATS over their last six games. The Lions have lost seven of their last 10 games outright while going 3-8 ATS over their last 11, making Big Ben and company the easy pick in this Week 8 inter-conference clash.
