If you’re looking for some Week 7 NFL expert picks to help you either increase your annual betting bankroll or get back in the black, then consider your ticket punched. I’ve got a ‘trifecta’ of Week 7 NFL expert picks that all look like sure-fire locks, so let’s get to them!
NFL Week 7 Expert Picks
Baltimore Ravens (3-3) at Minnesota Vikings (4-2)
When: Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: U.S. Bank Stadium, Minneapolis, Minnesota
NFL Odds: Minnesota -4.5
Total: 39.5
Analysis: Baltimore stumbled to their 27-24 overtime home loss to Chicago on Sunday and quarterback Joe Flacco flat-out quit on one play after tossing a 90-yard pick six to Chicago’s Adrian Amos. Minnesota is looking pretty damned good after winning two straight including their 23-10 win over Green Bay on Sunday in which they knocked out Aaron Rodgers for possibly the remainder of the regular season.
The question I ask a lot of people about Baltimore these days is, ‘What has Joe Flacco ever won without Ray Lewis?’
Oh yeah, absolutely nothing!
The Ravens are 3-7 ATS in their last 10 road games and 5-14-2 ATS in their L/21 games following an SU loss. Conversely, Minnesota is a robust 20-6 ATS in their last 26 home games and 35-17 ATS in their L/52 games overall. The Vikings are my top Week 7 expert pick.
Expert Pick Week 7: Minnesota -4.5
Atlanta Falcons (3-2) at New England Patriots (4-2)
When: Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 8:30 PM ET
Where: Gillette Stadium, Foxborough, Massachusetts
NFL Odds: New England -3.5
Total: 42.5
Analysis: I’m just going to get right to the point by saying I wouldn’t bet on Atlanta in this Super Bowl rematch with my worst enemy’s money after the way they rolled over against the mediocre Miami Dolphins on Sunday. Despite leading 17-0 at the half, the Falcons went completely belly up by not scoring a single point.
While I’m not really happy about the way the NFL and referees screwed the New York Jets over in their hard-fought 24-17 home loss against Tom Brady and the Pats on Sunday, I am going to advise you to back new England to get the outright home win and ATS cover against an Atlanta team that just isn’t very solid in the ‘heart’ department! The Falcons are 2-4 ATS in their last six games while New England has gone 18-7 ATS in their L/25 games. Expect another win by the Pats over the Falcons after they crushed their NFC counterparts’ Super Bowl hopes earlier this year! The Pats are my second expert pick for Week 7.
Expert Pick Week 7: New England -3.5
Denver Broncos (3-2) at Los Angeles Chargers (2-4)
When: Sunday, October 22, 2017 at 4:25 PM ET
Where: StubHub Center, Carson, California
NFL Odds: Chargers -1.5
Total: 42.5
Analysis: The Broncos had the look of a very legitimate Super Bowl contender to start the season and they kicked off their 2017 campaign by beating the Chargers at home 24-21 in a thriller. However, Trevor Siemian and company have looked a bit lost in dropping two of their last three games including their pitiful 23-10 loss to the previously winless Giants on Sunday night.
On the flip side of the coin, Philip Rivers and the Los Angeles Chargers have gotten their act together the last three weeks, starting with their hard-fought 26-24 home loss to Philadelphia. The Bolts beat the Giants 27-22 in Week 5 and got past the AFC West division rival Raiders 17-16 on Sunday.
While 60 percent of public bettors are backing the Broncos to get the ATS cover in this contest, I like Rivers and company to cover the chalk by winning outright in a knock-down, drag-out fight to the finish. Denver has gone 2-5 ATS in their last seven road games while Los Angeles has gone a polar opposite 5-2 ATS in their last seven games in the month of October. The gun-slinging Rivers leads L.A. to the narrow home win over the suddenly pedestrian Broncos.
Expert Pick Week 7: Chargers -1.5
