Why Bet the San Francisco 49ers Line at +10.5
The 49ers took an emphatic 40-10 beatdown from the mediocre Dallas Cowboys last weekend by playing some undisciplined football in losing three fumbles while letting Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott throw three TD passes and running back Ezekiel Elliott run for 147 yards and two scores.
While I like the fact that Frisco finally handed the keys to the car to rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard, it’d be nice if the Niners had some semblance of a rushing attack to help give the young signal-caller some help and oh, maybe an offensive line that could stop him from getting sacked five times.
The Niners are averaging all of 11.4 points per game under first-year head coach Kyle Shanahan who looks nothing like the offensive ‘genius’ he was supposed to be while giving up 26.6 points per game defensively.

The Eagles have won five straight and suddenly look like the team to bet in the league. Not only that but second-year quarterback Carson Wentz is looking like the second coming of John Elway and is clearly a legitimate franchise quarterback. The former North Dakota State star tossed four TD passes on Monday night in Philly’s 34-24 win over Washington and is completing 61.6 percent of his passes for 1,852 yards with a league-leading 17 touchdowns and just four interceptions.
Wentz has tossed an impressive two or more touchdown passes in five of his last seven games. The Eagles are averaging a stellar 28.4 points per game while allowing 20.9 points per contest defensively.

San Francisco may be an encouraging 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games, but the Niners are also just 1-2 ATS in their last three games and 2-5 ATS in their last 7 meetings against Philadelphia. The Eagles are 5-1 ATS in their last six games against their NFC counterparts and 7-2 ATS in their last 9 games overall.
After seeing the Cowboys demolish the Niners last weekend all I can say is that San Francisco is in even bigger trouble against Philadelphia. Wentz and the red-hot Eagles win and cover the spread as double-digit home favorites.
