Parlay Picks NFL Week 3
The Pittsburgh Steelers have the look of a lock selection heading into their Week 3 matchup against the rebuilding Chicago Bears.
The Tennessee Titans will look to hold down the fort against Russell Wilson and a Seattle Seahawks team that has looked mostly awful in their pair of games this season.
Last but not least, can the New York Jets hold it down at home in their AFC East divisional matchup against Miami?
3-Team Parlay Pick NFL Week 3
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Miami Dolphins
Pittsburgh Steelers (2-0) at Chicago Bears (0-2)
When: Sunday, September 24 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: Soldier Field
NFL Odds: Pittsburgh -7.5
Total: 45.5
Analysis: The Steelers smacked Minnesota all over the place in their 26-9 Week2 win to cash in as an 8.5-point home favorite as Ben Roethlisberger completed 23 of 35 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns and Pittsburgh’s defense put relentless pressure on Minnesota backup Case Keenum who got the start for the injured Sam Bradford.
Chicago got man-handled in its 29-7 Week 2 loss to Tampa Bay while never coming close to covering the NFL betting line as a 7-point road dog. The Bucs took a 2-0 lead into the half and were never challenged as Jameis Winston completed 18 of 30 passes for 204 yards and one touchdown and running back Jacquizz rushed for 67 yards and one score on 19 carries.
Now, for this Week 3 pairing, the Steelers are the easy pick to get past a Bears team that looked nothing like the competitive team we saw in the preseason and in Week 1.
Pittsburgh is 8-3-1 ATS in its last 12 games and 5-2 ATS in its last seven road games. More importantly, the Steelers are the better team in all three phases and will win this game going away to cover the spread making Pitt my top NFL Week 3 parlay pick.
Pick: Pittsburgh -7.5
Miami (1-0) at NY Jets (0-2)
When: Sunday, September 24 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: MetLife Stadium
NFL Odds: Miami -6
Total: 41.5
Analysis: The Dolphins weren’t overly impressive but they managed to get past the L.A. Chargers 19-17 in Week 2 in their first game of the season after having their Week 1 matchup against Tampa bay canceled because of Hurricane Irma.
Cody Parkey’s fourth field goal from 54 yards out with 65 seconds remaining lifted the Dolphins to victory at the StubHub Center on Sunday. Veteran quarterback Jay Cutler, who came out of retirement when Ryan Tannehill suffered a season-ending knee injury, completed 24 of 33 passes for 230 yards and one touchdown while blossoming running back Jay Ajayi rushed 28 times for 122 yards in the win.
The Jets got completely obliterated in their 45-20 Week 2 loss to Oakland by allowing Derek Carr to toss three TD passes in the loss. Veteran signal-caller Josh McCown completed 17 of 25 passes for 166 yards and two touchdowns, both to wide receiver Jermaine Kearse, but McCown was sacked four times and lost a fumble in the convincing loss.
Miami looked really mediocre in Week 2, but they’re still the easy pick to beat a Jets team that has all sorts of problems. Miami won both regular-season meetings against New York a year ago and is 9-3-1 ATS in its last 13 games while the Jets are just 3-6-1 ATS in its last 10 home games against the Fins.
Keep it simple and back the superior Dolphins to get it done behind Jay Ajayi, not Jay Cutler. Miami is my next NFL Week 3 parlay pick.
Pick: Miami -6
3-Team Parlay Pick NFL Week 3
- Pittsburgh Steelers
- Miami Dolphins
- Tennessee Titans
Seattle (1-1) at Tennessee (1-1)
When: Sunday, September 24 at 4:05 PM ET
Where: Nissan Stadium
NFL Odds: Tennessee -2
Total: 43
Analysis: Marcus Mariota completed 15-of-27 passes for 215 yards with one touchdown and one interception, but it was Tennessee powerful rushing attack and strong defense that led them to a convincing 37-16 blowout over Jacksonville in Week 2.
Tennessee forced three turnovers in the win and scored on their first five drives of the second half to put the Jags away after leading 6-3 at the half. Former Alabama running back Derrick Henry gained 92 yards on 14 carries while rushing for one score.
Russell Wilson tossed a 9-yard touchdown pass to Paul Richardson with just over seven minutes remaining in the fourth quarter to give Seattle its first touchdown of the season and a lead they would never relinquish in their 12-9 Week 2 win over San Francisco on Sunday.
Even though Seattle got the win on Sunday, they clearly have some problems on offense which is why I’m going to urge you to back the Tennessee Titans to hold it down at home in this Week 3 affair. The Seahawks have some serious issues trying to run the ball and their offensive line is so weak that it doesn’t give Russell Wilson much time to throw at all.
Seattle is just 1-5 ATS in its last six games and 0-5 ATS in its last five road dates. Tennessee has won four of its last five home games and should be able to get the ‘W’ in this Week 3 matchup simply based on Seattle’s offensive struggles so far. Don’t be surprised…right now, Tennessee looks like the better team – even after losing to Oakland in Week 1. Close your three team NFL Week 3 parlay play with the Titans.
Pick: Tennessee -2
