After picking up a huge upset win this past weekend, can the Chicago Bears can pull off the outright road win or manage to cover the spread against the incomparable Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers when they square off in their Week 4 NFC North divisional battle?
Does Jay Cutler stand any chance out out-dueling Drew Brees when the Miami Dolphins host the offensively-explosive New Orleans Saints in their Week 4 Inter-conference clash?
Last but not least, who’s the right pick to cover the chalk when the New York Jets host the Jacksonville Jaguars in their AFC Matchup of playoff hopefuls?
If you’re looking to put some Week 4 NFL wagers together as part of a potentially bankroll-boosting parlay, then you’re about to get three great picks that will help you do just that!
2-Team Parlay Pick NFL Week 4
- Green Bay Packers
- New Orleans Saints
Chicago at Green Bay
When: Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 8:25 PM ET
Where: Lambeau Field, Green Bay, Wisconsin
NFL Odds: Green Bay -7.5
Total: 45.5
Analysis: The Bears picked up a huge 23-17 upset win over Pittsburgh as second-year running back Jordan Howard scored on a 19-yard touchdown run in overtime to lift Chicago to victory. Howard ran for 138 yards and two scores to lead his team to the huge upset.
Aaron Rodgers completed 28-of-42 passes for 313 yards and three touchdowns to lift the Packers to a 27-24 victory in overtime as Mason Crosby nailed the game-winning 27-yard field goal to cap off the win.
While I’ve been fairly impressed with Chicago since the start of the preseason, I just can’t bring myself to go against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in this NFC North divisional matchup, even though the last time these two rivals played, the Packers won by just three points, although that contest was played in the Windy City.
The last time the Green Bay hosted Chicago, they won 26-10 to easily cash in as 7.5-point home favorites. More importantly, right now, the Bears just don’t have enough offense to keep pace with a Green Bay team that is averaging just shy of seven points per game more than they are. I expect the Packers to load up the box to keep Jordan Howard from running wild while forcing Mike Glennon to beat them through the air, which, he just won’t be able to do.
Chicago is 3-10 Ats in the last 13 meetings against Green Bay and this contest will be another in a long line of humbling losses the Bears have suffered at the hands of the Packers and Aaron Rodgers in particular. Back the Pack to win and cash in!
Pick: Green Bay -7.5
New Orleans at Miami
When: Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 9:30 AM ET
Where: Wembley Stadium, London
NFL Odds: New Orleans -2.5
Total: 50
Analysis: New Orleans picked up their first win of the season by throttling the Carolina Panthers as Drew Brees completed 22 of 29 passes for 220 yards and three touchdowns. Miami and veteran quarterback Jay Cutler looked completely lost and confused and the Fins never came close to beating the New York Jets in their 20-6 debacle of a loss on Sunday as Cutler was limited to an uninspiring 26 of 44 passing day for 220 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
For me, it doesn’t matter that Miami is playing at home in this Week 4 contest. I just can’t bring myself to back a Jay Cutler-led team over one that is led by future Hall of Fame signal-caller Drew Brees.
New Orleans has won two straight over Miami and four of the last six meetings overall and despite their struggles getting out of the gate this season, the Saints should easily be able to outscore a Dolphins team that is averaging a paltry 12.5 points per game after two games.
The Saints are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games in the month of October and 6-2 ATS in their last eight games following and SU win while Miami has gone 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games following an ATS loss and 4-11 ATS in their last 15 games after scoring less than 15 points in their previous contest. I’m thinking the Saints are a no-brainer of a pick in this matchup and apparently, 64 percent of the betting public already agrees!
Pick: New Orleans -2.5
3-Team Parlay Pick NFL Week 4
- Green Bay Packers
- New Orleans Saints
- Jacksonville Jaguars
Jacksonville at NY Jets
When: Sunday, October 1, 2017 at 1:00 PM ET
Where: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, New Jersey
NFL Odds: Jacksonville -3.5
Total: 39.5
Analysis: There’s a reason why a compelling 68 percent of public bettors are already riding the Jacksonville Jaguars in this Week 4 matchup and it’s because the New York Jets have looked mostly incompetent despite beating the Miami Dolphins 20-6 on Sunday to get their first win of the season.
Jacksonville completely stunned the previously unbeaten Baltimore Ravens in their 44-7 win on Sunday in London as enigmatic quarterback Blake Bortles completed 20 of 31 passes for 244 yards while tossing four TD passes in the win. Jacksonville forced veteran quarterback Joe Flacco into two costly interceptions and won the time of possession battle by almost 10 minutes.
More importantly, the Jaguars now have a real plan on how to win games thanks to the hiring of two-time Super Bowl-winning head coach Tom Coughlin as VP of football operations and his subsequent hiring of head coach Doug Marrone.
Jacksonville is 4-0ATS in their last four road games and 5-1 ATS in their last six games overall while the Jets have gone 2-5 ATS in their last seven games against a team with a winning record, 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games following a SU win and 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games following an ATS win. Make no mistake about it, after demolishing the Baltimore Ravens this past weekend, the rebuilt Jacksonville Jags are the pick to win and cash in!
Pick: Jacksonville -3.5
