Why Bet The Cincinnati Bengals To Beat The Browns
The Bengals offense finally put up some points in their 27-24 loss to the Green Bay Packers last week. They recorded 301 total yards including 110 rushing yards. QB Andy Dalton completed 21 of 27 passes for 219 yards and two touchdowns. WR AJ Green caught ten passes for 111 yards and one touchdown.
Rookie rusher Joe Mixon still hasn’t started a game while stuck behind Jeremey Hill and Giovani Bernard. If last weekend is any indication it is crystal clear last week that he’s likely going to get the role of starter for the Bengals going forward. Mixon had two plays of more than 20 yards and showed encouraging explosiveness at times.
Mixon got the largest share of the snaps among the running backs against the Green Bay Packers, playing 34 offensive snaps to Hill’s 14 and Bernard’s 13. He finished with 18 carries for 62 yards and three catches for 39 yards.
Why Bet The Cleveland Browns To Beat The Bengals
Browns head coach Hue Jackson was the Bengals offensive coordinator in 2014 and 2015 before leaving Cincinnati in January of 2016 to become head coach of the Browns. His intimate knowledge of the Red Rifle and AJ Green will benefit the Browns in their defensive preparation. That advantage slices both ways by the Bengals knowing what Jackson likes to do offensively.
Rookie defensive end Myles Garrett, the first pick in the 2017 draft, is hopeful of making his debut for the Browns after missing the first three games with a sprained ankle. He did not practice Wednesday.
If You Still Can’t Decide Who To Bet On:
- Bengals are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games in Week 4.
- Bengals are 10-4 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
- Browns are 9-2 ATS in their last 11 games in Week 4.
- Browns are 5-2-1 ATS in their last 8 games as a home underdog of 0.5-3.0.
Bengals Vs. Browns Week 4 Betting Analysis:
The Bengals have won seven of the last ten games in the series against the Browns. Cincinnati has covered the spread in six of those seven wins, including the last four in a row.
I am betting on Cincinnati to win and cover the one field-goal spread.
