As Jarvis Landry enters the final season of his current deal with the Miami Dolphins, the veteran wide receiver isn't yet concerning himself with a potential extension.
"I'm not really worried about any contract or anything like that," Landry said Wednesday, per ESPN.com's James Walker. "I'm more focused on trying to help my team get to a Super Bowl, week in and week out playing hard and playing together. We've talked back and forth but there's nothing really going on. We're just really focusing on right now today."
According to Spotrac, Landry will earn a base salary of $893,852 in 2017.
Assuming he stays healthy, the 24-year-old will see a healthy pay raise when he agrees to a new deal, whether he stays in Miami or leaves in free agency.
Landry has reached the Pro Bowl in each of the past two seasons, catching 204 passes for 2,293 yards and eight touchdowns during that span. PFF Fantasy Football highlighted how he has been particularly effective as a slot receiver:

Considering how much money Landry could command on the open market, the Dolphins have a strong incentive to reach an agreement before things come to that.
Walker noted Miami has already re-signed safety Reshad Jones, linebacker Kiko Alonso, wide receiver Kenny Stills and defensive end Andre Branch. Regarding Landry, Walker added, "Both sides are expected to work out a new contract by the start of the regular season."
