It may only be Week 14 in the NFL regular season, but for fantasy football players it's playoff time.
If you're one of the fortunate owners with a first-round bye after a top-two finish in your league, congratulations. But for the rest of us who somehow managed to sneak into the playoffs despite having zero faith in their lineup, it might be time to scour the waiver wire one last time before it's too late.
At this point of the season, there isn't much to choose from in the free-agency pool. Most players have already identified themselves as legitimate fantasy players or one-hit wonders. But there may be some players sitting on the waiver wire waiting to be picked up—if you have high priority, that is.
There might not be a next week for many fantasy owners out there, so don't miss out on the players who could save your season and bring home a championship.
Sleepers Who May Still Be Available
Ladarius Green, TE, Pittsburgh Steelers
With Rob Gronkowski out for the rest of the season, there's a chance that you may need a new No. 1 option at the tight end position. And if you haven't seen Ladarius Green suit up for the Pittsburgh Steelers since his return from injury, you may be missing out on the savior of your fantasy season.
Green scored 17 fantasy points in Yahoo fantasy leagues this past weekend, hauling in six catches for 110 yards and a score. While it was only one game, Green showed his ability to stretch a defense and go to work in the middle of the field.
With the likes of Antonio Brown and Le'Veon Bell taking most of the defense's attention on each play, it wouldn't be a surprise to see Green continue to put up numbers like this for the last few weeks of the regular season.
While he's projected to score only 5.88 points against Buffalo in Week 14, Green is worth risking a waiver pick on if you are in need of a tight end. And since he's only owned in 25 percent of Yahoo leagues, there's still hope to grab him before someone else does.
Taylor Gabriel, WR, Atlanta Falcons
If you thought Taylor Gabriel's two-touchdown performance in Week 12 for the Atlanta Falcons was a fluke, you haven't been paying close attention lately.
Sure, Gabriel scored 22.2 fantasy points in Yahoo leagues two weeks ago, but before his bye in Week 11, Gabriel was coming off of three straight double-digit performances.
While Gabriel had a less than stellar outing in Week 13 with 44 yards, he still received six targets and caught five passes. Gabriel is a legitimate playmaker for the Falcons.
Don't let a mediocre outing this past weekend scare you away from picking Gabriel up. He's owned in just 38 percent of Yahoo leagues as of Tuesday night and is worth plugging into the No. 3/Flex position in your lineup next week.
Malcolm Mitchell, WR, New England Patriots
The New England Patriots know how to put together a roster full of players who buy into the next-man-up mentality. Whether it's been injuries or suspensions this season, the Patriots have had players come out of nowhere and step up for their team.
Malcolm Mitchell has been one of those players over the past few weeks for New England's offense.
After two weeks of scoring 15.8 and 16.2 points in Yahoo leagues, Mitchell came down to earth in Week 13, scoring 8.2 points on eight catches for 82 yards. That's still good production for a player who didn't score a touchdown.
Owned in 34 percent of Yahoo leagues, Mitchell could be the missing player for your fantasy team as you make a deep push into the playoffs.
