There are few guarantees in the world of fantasy football.

The rest of the Week 11 schedule providing better production than Thursday Night Football between the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers is one of them.

Leave it at this—Panthers kicker Graham Gano finished as the second-highest scorer after the game.

As always, owners should have known to avoid the Thursday game on a short turnaround. Looking ahead, here are value comparisons and matchups to know for the weekend slate.

Quarterback

Matchup to Exploit: Tyrod Taylor, BUF (at CIN)

It's easy to overlook Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

The Bills aren't exactly a lightning rod of fantasy production right now, which explains Taylor's ownership percentage of 61.

Crazy. Taylor has posted 23 or more points in two out of his last three outings and now gets to take on a weak Cincinnati Bengals defense in Week 11. Weak, because the Bengals allow the fifth-most points to quarterbacks on average this year.

Cincinnati has coughed up two or more touchdown passes in six games this year. Taylor's versatile, so his ceiling is one of the highest of the week.

Matchup to Avoid: Carson Palmer, ARI (at MIN)

Arizona Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer is still good for the matchup-based play every now and then.

But it says a lot about name recognition that he's owned (78.3 percent) in more leagues than Taylor. Palmer has only scored above 20 points twice this year and has thrown two or more scores in a game three times.

Now isn't the time to find unwarranted trust in Palmer. As a matchup-based play, Palmer looks terrible against the Minnesota Vikings.

Those Vikings permit the second-fewest points to quarterbacks on average, having never allowed more than 20 points to quarterbacks in a game this year, nor more than two passing scores.

Running Back

Matchup to Exploit: LeGarrette Blount, NE (at SF)

New England Patriots running back LeGarrette Blount is far from the first name to come to mind at running back this year, not with guys like Ezekiel Elliott and DeMarco Murray running wild.

Alas, Blount sits fifth in scoring at the position for good reason. He's posted 18 or more points four times and just blasted the Seattle Seahawks for 24 points while rushing for three touchdowns.

And that looked like a bad matchup. This weekend? Blount gets the San Francisco 49ers, the team allowing the most points to opposing backs on average.

There are many different ways to illustrate how bad the 49ers have been against backs this year, but this works: Six opposing backfields have scored 24 or more points against the 49ers, with three topping 43 or more.

Matchup to Avoid: Doug Martin, TB (at KC)

It's tough to fall in love with Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin at all in Week 11.

Martin returned from injury in Week 10 and posted 10 points. It sounds good, but he did his damage with a paltry 16 carries for 33 yards and a score against an iffy Chicago Bears defense.

In Week 11, Martin has to turn around and take on a strong Kansas City Chiefs defense that has only allowed two opposing backfields to breach the 20-point barrier and hasn't given up a rushing score since Week 4.

Martin used to be a surefire stud each week. His second game back, though, isn't one to throw him blindly into lineups.

Wide Receiver

Matchup to Exploit: Jamison Crowder, WAS (vs. GB)

One would think DeSean Jackson would be the wideout to know for the Washington Redskins in Week 11, but he has a questionable tag, according to Mike Jones of the Washington Post.

This leaves the keys to the ride in the hands of Jamison Crowder, who has quietly posted nine or more points five games and counting with three total scores over that span.

Owners can expect the strong push to continue thanks to a game against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers allow the third-most points to wideouts this year on average and five opposing receiving corps have tallied 29 or more points against the unit.

This creates a high ceiling for Crowder, who already has one of the best floors at the position.

Matchup to Avoid: Michael Crabtree, OAK (vs. HOU)

With only so many targets to go around in the Oakland Raiders offense, it is hard to know when to trot out Michael Crabtree.

Week 11 isn't a good idea. Crabtree enters off a two-point showing and hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 7. Now he has to deal with a Houston Texans defense allowing the third-fewest points to receivers on average.

Not only has Houston allowed just five receiving touchdowns to wideouts this year, it has held three entire groups of wideouts to single-digit catch totals.

If that doesn't convince owners to steer clear, nothing will.

Tight End

Matchup to Exploit: Julius Thomas, JAC (at DET)

Jacksonville Jaguars tight end Julius Thomas is the latest starter who gets to bully the Detroit Lions.

Detroit simply can't handle tight ends. The defense allows the second-most points to the position on average, having managed to cough up nine touchdowns so far over as many weeks.

Thomas hasn't blown anyone away with his point totals this year, which is par for the course given his locale. But he does have three touchdowns over his past four games, a clear sign he's getting more attention where it matters.

Given his production and usage near the end zone, Thomas has one of the highest ceilings of the week at tight end.

Matchup to Avoid: Jason Witten, DAL (vs. BAL)

Going in the other direction, owners of Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten may want to pump the brakes.

Yes, Witten has a score in two of his past three outings. But he's entering Week 11 off a five-point showing and needing to deal with the Baltimore Ravens.

Those Ravens allow the third-fewest points to tight ends on average this year and have only coughed up one touchdown to the position.

With Baltimore weak against spots such as wideout, Witten won't see the usage his owners need him to have, meaning he is a big name to avoid.
