NFL Week 13 sees the world of fantasy football return to normal.

Well, as much as possible after a week in which Colin Kaepernick scored 32 points, Trevor Siemian went for 28 and the defense of the New York Giants posted 22.

But at the least, the odd holiday schedule takes a back seat to a more normalized look as the weeks left in the season slip away. It is fantasy crunch time, where owners must make smart decisions with what they have and hope things don't get too wacky.

Below, let's take a look at notable matchup comparisons before zooming on top stars and sleepers to know.

Quarterback

Star to Exploit: Drew Brees, NO (vs. DET)

Week 13 looks like another edition of the Drew Brees show.

The New Orleans Saints quarterback posted 32 points in Week 12 by beating up on the Los Angeles Rams—his third trip to 30 or more points on the season.

If the matchup plays out like the numbers suggest, Brees might flirt with adding a fourth to his resume thanks to a Week 13 game against the Detroit Lions. Those Lions entered Week 12 allowing the second-most points to quarterbacks on average.

The Lions have allowed two or more touchdown passes in seven games, with Brees at home looking like a surefire eighth.

Sleeper to Know: Tyrod Taylor, BUF (at OAK)

Buffalo Bills quarterback Tyrod Taylor, at the least, is consistent. He has a nice floor thanks to hitting on at least 14 points in all but two games this year.

Said floor comes with a sizable ceiling when the matchup looks good, hence his 23 points against the New York Jets in Week 2. Taylor gets another good one in Week 13, a game against the Oakland Raiders.

The Raiders are one of the bigger success stories this season, yet they entered last week ranked among the 12 worst teams against quarterbacks on average. The defense then let Carolina Panthers quarterback Cam Newton post 19 points, so owners have a nice promise of production here with Taylor.

Running Back

Star to Exploit: Jordan Howard, CHI (vs. SF)

A clash between the Chicago Bears and San Francisco 49ers might not be the prettiest game for viewers—unless they own Chicago's Jordan Howard.

Howard is one of this year's breakout stars, a guy with four outings of 12 or more points over seven games of significant usage. This means 15 or more carries, which he has received in seven of his last eight outings. Usage is making him a fantasy stalwart.

Those 49ers? They entered last week allowing the most points to running backs on average, having let four opposing backfields score at least 30 points.

Howard might not hit 30, but he's a lock for strong production as Chicago's lone offensive strength.

Sleeper to Know: Chris Ivory, JAX (vs. DEN)

It's not often fantasy owners will willingly turn to members of the Jacksonville Jaguars this time of year.

They might want to in Week 13, though, as the Jaguars take on the Denver Broncos.

Sounds unbelievable, but Denver entered Week 12 allowing the eighth-most points to backs on average, with five backfields hitting 20 or more points.

Chris Ivory seems to have hit his stride at the right time after rushing for a score and 11 points on nine carries. He left Week 12 with a hamstring issue, which owners will need to monitor.

So long as Ivory is good to go, he's a physical, timely sleeper for owners to exploit.

Wide Receiver

Star to Exploit: T.Y. Hilton, IND (at NYJ)

Owners of Indianapolis Colts wideout T.Y. Hilton know the drill: He's erratic.

Hilton ranks among the top scorers at wideout, yet he only has five trips to double digits. A potential shootout with the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thanksgiving saw him turn out a paltry five points.

So it goes in fantasy, where owners must have short memories in some respects. Such is the case with Hilton, who next tackles the Jets, a team that entered Week 12 allowing the 10th-most points to wideouts.

Unbelievable as it sounds, the Jets don't have anyone who can run with Hilton. The Jets have allowed opposing wideout corps to hit 31 or more points four times, so he should see a large chunk of production.

Sleeper to Know: Tyreek Hill, KC (at ATL)

Good wideout sleepers are often boom-or-bust players in great matchups, which is the case for Kansas City Chiefs wideout Tyreek Hill in Week 13.

Hill has three trips to double digits this year after not receiving much in the way of usage for the first six weeks of the season. One of those outings came against Denver in Week 12, where he exploded for 23 points.

Week 13 offers an even better matchup in what should be a shootout against the Atlanta Falcons. Those Falcons ranked among the top five worst teams against wideouts going into Week 12, so matchup and projected game pace say Hill should have another one of his chart-topping performances.

Not bad for a guy owned in 26.5 percent of leagues.

Tight End

Star to Exploit: Jimmy Graham, SEA (vs. CAR)

By now, even novice owners know the drill when it comes to tight end: There isn't much in the way of consistency.

Look at Jimmy Graham of the Seattle Seahawks. Big name, superstar ability. Yet Graham has only four double-digit outings this year, capped off by a four-point outing in Week 12.

Owners have to hope Graham strikes it big in Week 13 against the Carolina Panthers. He should with the Panthers allowing the third-most points to opposing tight ends on average before allowing Oakland's Clive Walford to score 10 in Week 12.

There are certainly worse things to live and die by in the fantasy realm.

Sleeper to Know: C.J. Fiedorowicz, HOU (at GB)

Given the constraints of the position mentioned above, it should be easy to see how hard it is to nail down a sleeper tight end on a weekly basis.

Those who have turned to C.J. Fiedorowicz of the Houston Texans have found some success. The veteran has eight or more points in four of his last eight games, including three trips to double digits.

Given his baseline usage of at least four catches in every game except one over that span, Fiedorowicz should have a big day against the Green Bay Packers, whose defense hit Week 12 coughing up the sixth-most points to tight ends on average.
