It's time to give LeGarrette Blount his due.

Nearly every conversation about the New England Patriots offense centers on quarterback Tom Brady or tight end Rob Gronkowski (more on him later). However, Blount has been a consistent scorer in 2016 and may be the NFL's best short-yardage weapon in the league.

Blount scored his 12th rushing touchdown of the season against the Seattle Seahawks Sunday night, and the fact that he did not get his 13th in the final seconds of the fourth quarter prevented the Patriots from tying the game and sending it into overtime.

Blount launched himself toward the end zone on a 2nd-and-goal play and was stopped on a superb effort by Seattle defensive back Kam Chancellor, and the Pats chose not to go back to him on third and fourth downs. That decision proved costly.

Blount is more than just a goal-line weapon, although that part of his game is invaluable. He has rushed for 678 yards on 182 carries and has had a long run of 41 yards, which indicates his improved quickness from previous seasons.

However, the Pats are more than happy with having such an outstanding goal-line weapon, and he is in a position to have an outstanding game this week against the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners rank 32nd against the run, and Blount should be in a position to physically dominate them.

DeMarco Murray has been everything the Tennessee Titans could have wanted this season. After his disastrous one-year stay in Philadelphia, Murray has returned to his status as one of the top rushing threats in the NFL as he makes his home with an emerging team in the AFC South.

Murray has carried the ball 191 times for 930 yards and has scored eight touchdowns this season. He also is a major factor in the passing game, having caught 37 passes for 259 yards and two touchdowns. Many of those receptions are in the role of the safety valve, which provides a lot of security for emerging second-year quarterback Marcus Mariota.

The Titans play an important divisional game this week against the Indianapolis Colts, who have simply been unable to stop decent opponents all season. The Colts rank 30th in yards allowed, and Murray should be licking his chops at a chance to punish the Indianapolis defense.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have lost four games in a row and should feel fortunate that they are just one game behind the Baltimore Ravens in the AFC North. You don't have to be a football savant to say that the Steelers will end their four-game losing streak when they go to Cleveland Sunday to play the winless Browns.

This has to be the week where Le'Veon Bell has a dominant game. Bell came into the season as a top-three running back (with Adrian Peterson and Todd Gurley), and the results have been painful. Bell has just 433 yards with one touchdown and one run of 20 yards or more, but he still has the talent to become one of the game's best running backs in the second half of the season.

Bell is also one of the top pass-receiving running backs in the league with 45 receptions for 360 yards and one touchdown.

The schedule turns quite favorable in the remaining weeks, as the Steelers have two games against the Browns as well as games against the Colts, New York Giants and Cincinnati Bengals coming up.

The Browns rank 31st in yards allowed and against the run, and the Steelers should be able to put this team away early. Look for Bell to get the job done as a both a runner and receiver against the Browns.

Wide receivers

Odell Beckham Jr. appears to have put his early-season distractions behind him.

The New York Giants have reeled off four straight victories since Week 6's 26-23 victory over the Baltimore Ravens, in which Beckham stole the win when he scored on a 66-yard catch-and-run with a minute and 24 seconds remaining.

Beckham caught eight passes for 222 yards and two scores in that game and has been making clutch catches ever since. That includes the Giants' Monday night 21-20 victory over Cincinnati in which he caught 10 of Eli Manning's passes for 97 yards and a score.

The Giants have a winnable home game on their hands this week against the Chicago Bears. John Fox's team has won just two games this season, and while the Bears were punished 36-10 by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 10, they held Tampa Bay wideout Mike Evans to four catches for 66 yards.

The Bears are capable of coming up with a good defensive effort and can slow down Beckham if the wideout takes his opponent lightly. However, if he does his work during the week and comes into the game on an even keel, he should be able to catch at least 10 more passes for 125 yards or more and a touchdown.

We know the Bengals' personality quite well. When Marvin Lewis's team goes on the road against an opponent with a winning record, the Bengals find a way to end up with another loss. But when they come home the following week, the Bengals know how to play sharp football, build a big lead and figure out how to come away with a significant victory.

It's now or never for the Bengals, since they come into their Week 11 game at Buffalo with a 3-5-1 record. Their only saving grace is their AFC North affiliation. The Ravens are in first place with a 5-4 record, so they're quite vulnerable.

Look for wideout A.J. Green to set the tone this week against the Buffalo Bills. Green has caught 66 passes for 964 yards with four touchdowns, and his speed, size and talent should be a huge issue for the ordinary Buffalo (14th in yards allowed) defense.

Green was in some discomfort with an apparent foot injury at the end of the loss to the Giants, but he is a dynamic weapon who should have a chance for an explosive game against Buffalo.

Michael Crabtree of the Oakland Raiders has a chance to make an impression on Monday night against the Houston Texans. The two teams will be playing in Mexico City before what should be a pro-Raiders crowd, and the young receiver should get a chance to put on a show.

Crabtree and Amari Cooper are quarterback Derek Carr's top targets, and while Cooper certainly has remarkable athletic ability and a tremendous long-term future in the NFL, Crabtree has made a habit of making important and difficult catches for the Raiders this year.

Crabtree has caught 49 passes for 596 yards and six touchdowns but will be tested by the third-ranked pass defense of the Texans. While that's a reason to be concerned, Crabtree does not back down from any challenge and should be able to put his signature on this game.

Tight ends

Getting off to a good start each week is part of the game plan for nearly every fantasy football owner.

While coming through with a huge effort on Monday night where a key player scores multiple touchdowns and goes for 125 yards or more is wonderful, it's hard to count on anyone (not named Antonio Brown) to come through at that point.

Getting off to a good start and playing with the lead is much more enjoyable and a better formula for victory. As a result, we are putting our support behind tight end Greg Olsen this week.

Olsen's Carolina Panthers are desperate for a win and get to compete against the New Orleans Saints Thursday night. The Saints make life pleasurable for opposing tight ends, and Olsen will take advantage. He has caught 50 passes for 712 yards and three touchdowns and has nine plays of 20 yards or more.

Olsen will dominate against the Saints, and we also like Martellus Bennett of the New England Patriots to do the same thing against the San Francisco 49ers.

The Pats are coming off a last-minute home loss at the hands of the Seattle Seahawks, and tight end Rob Gronkowski has a chest injury and may not be able to play this week. Even if he can, he would appear to be limited.

That gives Bennett an opportunity to move from a supporting role to a starring one, and we like him to get into the end zone this week against the Niners and catch at least seven passes against the league's 32nd-ranked defense.

Waiver Wire

The Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots put on a brilliant show in the Week 10 Sunday night game, and it may have been the Game of the Year so far the season.

Give the Seahawks full marks for being ready to play against the AFC's most dominant team, even though they had to fly cross-country after playing the previous Monday night.

The Seahawks appeared to lack a ground game and a competent offensive line going into that game. That was not the case, as the Seahawks emerged with a 31-24 victory.

C.J. Prosise emerged as the team's go-to running back after running the ball 17 times for 66 yards and catching all seven passes that Russell Wilson threw in his direction. Prosise is our top waiver-wire pick-up this week and should be able to put another productive game together when the Seahawks host the Philadelphia Eagles.

Prosise is not the only C.J. on our list of waiver-wire recommendations. We also like tight end C.J. Fiedorowicz of the Houston Texans to be a factor Monday night against the Oakland Raiders when the two teams get together in Mexico City.

Fiedorowicz has caught 29 passes for 305 yards and three touchdowns and should be able to get open against the 30th-ranked Oakland pass defense.

Moving to the non-C.J. waiver list, we are also high on Rishard Matthews of the Titans. Opposing defensive coordinators have to concentrate on stopping Murray and tight end Delanie Walker before they work up a game plan for slowing down Matthews.

He has caught 36 passes for 483 yards and six touchdowns this season and should be in a good position to come up with a productive game at Indianapolis this week.
